Residential Lighting

 

Living rooms, dining rooms, kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms, studios, hallways and entrance halls all demand respect. We take careful note of the structural, functional and decorative features as well as how the space is to be used. In discussing positions of fixed elements: windows, stairs, fireplaces, work surfaces, shelving etc. We encourage the customer to consider where paintings, prints and any 2D images or 3D objects need to be illuminated.

 

Glare is to be avoided. Light, like the Sun, offers wellbeing and comfort. Just like sunshine, you should enjoy the benefits without looking straight into their source.

 

The images we have chosen are all illuminated by the light sources installed, no additional set photography has been used whatsoever (unlike most product or interiors magazine shots). Using contemporary lighting and dimming products we enable homes and rooms within those homes to become stimulating and responsive to use.

 

Very few light fittings are in themselves beautiful so we are always cautious about specifying or suggesting feature or highly decorative fittings: too often the word design is attached to what is no more than household costume jewellery encasing a lightbulb.
